Simpson Strong-Tie^® Anchor Designer^™ is the latest anchorage design tool for structural engineers to satisfy the strength design provisions of ACI 318-19/-14 Chapter 17 / ACI 318-11 Appendix D, CAN/ CSA A23.3 Annex D, ETAG 001 Annex C or EOTA TR029 design methodologies. Anchor Designer will quickly and accurately analyze an existing design or suggest anchorage solutions based upon user-defined design elements in cracked and uncracked concrete conditions.

The real-time design is visually represented in a fully-interactive 3D graphic user interface, supports Imperial and Metric-sized Simpson Strong-Tie mechanical and adhesive anchors, and offers cast-in-place solutions. Anchor Designer can calculate single anchor solutions or up to 16 anchors in a single plate. Previous designs from existing Simpson Strong-Tie anchor design software may be uploaded into Anchor Designer, and the detailed output is provided in convenient PDF format.

FAQ

How do I select different embedment depths for adhesive and cast-in-place anchors?

Please click the embedment depth under ‘h_ef’ column in the Products section. It will open a drop down menu for the selected anchor presenting various embedment depths options.

How do I select a different unit of measure?

For ACI 318 methodology, the default unit of measure is Imperial. For ETAG Annex C/TR029 and CSA A23.3 methodologies, the default is Metric. The default settings can be changed from the Project settings section of the Inputs tab.
