Fastener Designer App Now Available for New Zealand

Simpson Strong-Tie is pleased to announce the launch of Fastener Designer, our latest web-based fastener design application, now available to engineers, architects, and designers across New Zealand.
Please note that the current Solid Wood version will be retired on 31 December 2025. Fastener Designer is ready to use today and includes all the same trusted connection options, plus significant enhancements such as an intuitive 3D viewer, multiple country and language selections, and an improved user experience.
This new release is our first global web application, supporting 12 countries, 8 languages, and 3 design standards — NDS (USA), CSA O86:19 (Canada), and EN 1995 (EU).
Fastener Designer makes it quick and simple to specify Simpson Strong-Tie® structural fasteners for:
- Withdrawal
- Lateral load parallel-to-grain
- Lateral load perpendicular-to-grain
- Multi-ply connections
- Ledger connections
- Sole plate to rim board connections
The app provides detailed load calculations for the recommended Simpson Strong-Tie structural screws, helping you design with greater accuracy and confidence.
