One question changed construction forever. In 1956, our founder, Barc Simpson, was asked a simple question: “Can you make a connector for a roof?” That moment sparked a movement that transformed how structures are built.
From the very first joist hanger, Simpson Strong-Tie has been defined by innovation, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Over the decades, we’ve grown from a small workshop into a global leader—setting industry standards, pioneering new solutions, and earning the trust of builders everywhere.
Simpson Strong-Tie Pacific Rim: Celebrating 20 Years in 2024
In 2004, Simpson Strong-Tie acquired Quik Drive® fastening systems, a company based in Gallatin, Tennessee. Quik Drive was available in Australia prior to the acquisition and has since continued to be distributed, along with a wide range of Simpson Strong-Tie products, throughout the country. Following the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in New Zealand in 2011, our presence in the Pacific Rim has grown steadily.
This range now includes fasteners, mechanical and chemical anchors, lateral systems, powder-actuated tools, and connectors.
